My stage design for Hamlet reimagines the iconic tragedy through the lens of a circus. By exploiting the height of Hafez Hall, I have created a dynamic and visually arresting performance space that mirrors the play’s inherent theatricality. Through meticulous research into vintage circus aesthetics, I have developed a design that juxtaposes the familiar with the unexpected. This unconventional approach not only challenges traditional interpretations of Hamlet but also invites the audience to explore the play’s underlying themes of illusion, deception, and the blurred lines between reality and performance.
