About
Stage Designer & Multidisciplinary Artist
I am a stage designer and multidisciplinary artist based in Tehran, working at the intersection of scenography, visual research, and digital media. I treat space not as a backdrop for performance, but as a living presence—one that thinks, resists, listens, and shapes how meaning unfolds. Space is not neutral. It sets rhythm, bends perception, and carries memory.
My practice is grounded in spatial storytelling: the construction of visual narratives through material, movement, light, and absence. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Stage Design from the University of Tehran, where my work emerged from research-driven inquiry rather than fixed solutions. Design, for me, is not an outcome but a process of thinking—an ongoing negotiation between concept and form.
I work through experimentation: sketching, model-making, collage, video, and visual systems that function as questions rather than answers. Each medium becomes a tool for probing space—testing how ideas behave when translated into matter, image, or motion.
My work explores the shifting relationship between space, performance, and perception, with a focus on expanding scenography beyond the physical stage. Through projection, moving image, and generative or interactive visuals, I construct hybrid environments where physical architecture and mediated imagery continuously transform one another. By weaving analog and digital processes, I imagine scenography as an evolving field—layered, unstable, and in motion—where performance exists across thresholds rather than within boundaries.
